Belvedere

¶ This was the first personal project that I designed while I was at Coppers and Brasses, and actually the first font I designed. It started out as a couple of TypeCooker sketches and a desire to make a script font. Good thing that I was advised against it, so you can still see the influence, but I stayed away from connecting characters and contextual alternates.

¶ I think I spent two weeks drawing on paper until I felt confident enough to digitise and start working on it in RoboFont. Receiving live feedback every other day was extremely valuable and helped me raise a lot my awareness, specially of spacing and letter width.
